2025 UIL Region II-1A Regional Golf Tournament
The Girl”s two day Regional Golf Tournament is Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15, 2025. The Boy’s Regional Tournament is, Wednesday and Thursday, April 16-17, 2025 @ Maxwell Golf Course, 1002 S32nd Street in Abilene, TX 79602. Pro shop phone number is 325-692-2737

*Tee Times: 8:00AM beginning on holes #1/#10. Range and Pro Shop will open @ 7:00
*It is the coach’s responsibility to inform parents/spectators of the following: Parents/Spectators are just that-Spectators and it is NOT their responsibility to report possible rule violations. This is a responsibility of the marshal, players and coaches. Parents/Spectators should stay a substantial distance from competitors during competition. Once play has started, parents/spectators MAY NOT coach or “advise” players. A player is subject to a two-stroke penalty on the first offense and disqualification by the tournament committee if the “coaching/advise” continues. Parent/Spectator support (applause, “nice shot” etc) is not considered coaching or advising and is permissible.
Entry Fee: $45 per player PER day ($90 per player/$450 per team). Medalists will pay $45 per day/$90 for the tournament. This fee includes play each day and range PRIOR to play each day.
ONE coaches cart per school.
Payment: Checks can be mailed to Maxwell Golf Course at the above address OR can be personally delivered to Staci Bailey or Jimmy Saenz.
ALL ROUNDS MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF PLAY. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Practice Round: Practice rounds can be scheduled by calling the pro shop (325-692-2737) at any time following the completion of district rounds. Practice rounds can be scheduled on Saturday, 4/12 until 4:00PM (carts must be returned by 8:00PM) or Sunday, 4/13 from 12:00-4:00PM. The Course will be closed at noon Sunday to accommodate all teams. Boy’s practice rounds can be scheduled after 2:00PM on Tuesday, 4/15 (carts must be returned by 8:00PM).
Practice rounds are $50 per person and includes a 1/2 golf cart per player and a small bucket per player. (Max carts per team = 3)
Pairings: First round pairing will be made according to UIL guidelines. Second round pairings will be based upon day one team results.
Rules: Rules will be determined by the Head Rules Official, Jimmy Saenz, and the ruling committee.
Concessions: Players and visitors may purchase food and beverage in the pro shop. A burger meal (burger, chips and a fountain drink) will be prepared daily for coaches, players and spectators at $10 per meal.
Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will be available on a first come, first serve basis and can not be reserved in advance. Spectator carts are $40. A ONE CART MAXIMUM is allowed for a family/spectator(s) of a regional participant. Private carts are allowed and welcomed. All carts must stay on the cart path at all times.
